In my apologie blog recently, i spoke about how the Holy Spirit has been revealing to me more about sonship. I am amazed & am becoming more increasingly aware of the various roles of the body of christ, and in what part or role they promote Jesus being the Head of the body.
Meaning, that although i may have a deep connection & revelation on a particular area that God has revealed to me for both personal & external edification. Likewise he does so with other members, so that the entire body works in unity with the Holy Spirity to edify and glorify Jesus. Sadly, i have witnessed the body of christ neglecting this glorious plan of God, & instead are turning on one another.
In past posts i have spoken about the importance of intimacy with God & the rewards it brings. A relationship is vital to knowing God, not just worship, servanship or ministry. All those area's are a direct result of your heart 2 heart with God. Why am i mentioning this? Because this is exactly what Jesus revealed to his diciples & to the children of Isreal. A father & Son relationship manifesting love here on earth.
It's amazing when you realise this, that although Jesus himself did not promote this fact in a direct way for all to understand. I believe God intended it this way so that you can come to that deep fufilling understanding that all that Jesus is dwells within you. If you search out the scriptures you will find on only 2 occassions in the N.T that God spoke in an audible voice to declare whom Jesus was to him. Notice he did not recognise Jesus as a King? A High Priest? or anything else...He (GOD) said " THIS IS MY SON ....".
The titles mentioned like King, High Priest etc which God knew that Jesus was...he (God) only identified & recognised Jesus as his BELOVED SON. The titles were given by God for you & i, so that we can identify with what Jesus achieved on the cross. God's wisdom and mind as we all know exceeds our limited knowledge, so he had to break it down for us and put it into a perspective that we could grasp & understand. Yet the one that most people neglect to see and search out is that what Jesus achieved on the cross was the most powerful, loving, and selfless act of all. To re unite you and i to God so that he can pour out his spirit upon us so that we too can become his BELOVED SON'S & DAUGHTER'S.
